Buying and selling motorcycles and gear is easy with MyMotoMarket. Click on Sign-In, create your account, verify your email address, pay the one-off membership fee, complete identity verification, and you’re ready to buy, sell and message other members. Every member must complete identity verification before accessing marketplace features, helping create a more trusted environment for buyers and sellers.
Sellers simply create a listing, pay a low upfront listing fee, and their item goes live to riders across New Zealand. Listings remain active for 30 days and can be relisted free of charge if unsold, helping keep the marketplace full of genuine, current listings rather than old or inactive ads.
Buyers can browse listings, save favourites, and contact sellers directly through the platform to arrange payment and collection.
Because payments are made directly between buyers and sellers, there are no commissions, success fees, or payment processing charges added by MyMotoMarket.
ID verification may be intimidating for some, but honestly we use a really cool piece of technology that makes the process simple for even the most “un-tech” of us. It’s taken care of by Stripe, a major international payment facilitator that many of us already know and trust, you just need a NZ passport or drivers license and it must be current, if its expired it will fail. MyMotoMarket helps connect buyers and sellers, we’ve done our best to ensure all users are legitimate, but ID checks are not police/security checks, and MyMotoMarket is not involved in the transaction itself. Buyers and sellers are responsible for making sure they’re comfortable with who they’re dealing with, the item being traded, and the arrangements they make. The membership fee is a one off fee for new users. This fee helps cover the cost of identity checks and supports the operation of a trusted marketplace, deterring non-genuine users. It’s what makes MyMotoMarket the best place to trade second hand motorcycle gear in New Zealand.

Listing fees are tiered based on the advertised asking price selected by the seller when creating the listing. This helps us ensure you’re getting great value for money when listing your items. We understand that if you’re going to bother listing something to sell, it has to be worth the effort with genuine buyers ready and waiting. There is no charge to relist items if sellers act on the scheduled reminders to relist.
As all buyers and sellers complete their trade off the MyMotoMarket platform there are no other hidden fees or commissions taken by MyMotoMarket. We use Stripe to process the fee transactions, and we pay the stripe fees.

MyMotoMarket is a classified listing based platform so their are no ‘auction’ features. Sellers list an item for an asking price, buyers send a message to ask questions on platform. All messaging is private from other users so any transfer of personal contact information is not fully public, but your name, phone and email address will be sent to the seller when a buyer clicks on Purchase This Listing. The listing will then automatically be hidden while users finalise the transaction off platform. If the transaction is not completed, the seller can simply “unhide” the listing, no additional listing fees are charged. A seller can “Hide” or “Unhide” or permanently delete their listing from My Listings on their user menu at any time.
MyMotoMarket provides a platform to facilitate connections between buyers and sellers and is not a party to any transaction. MyMotoMarket is not responsible for payments, listed items, or the conduct of users, as stated in our Terms of Use. Businesses must correctly identify themselves and comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986.
Drop-shipping (shipping direct to purchasers from overseas suppliers) is strictly prohibited, any accounts doing so will be removed.

Businesses are welcome to advertise on MyMotoMarket. We encourage listings for quality second-hand items, new clearance stock and specialist motorcycle products that add value to the platform. To keep MyMotoMarket focused and uncluttered, we don’t allow businesses to list large volumes of low-value new items or products that are shipped directly to customers from overseas suppliers (drop-shipping). MyMotoMarket reserves the right to remove listings or suspend business accounts that, in our opinion, do not meet these requirements.
Whoever signs up on behalf of a business will need to use their personal ID to obtain platform access. When their first listing is added businesses add additional details that will be visible on the platform. All businesses must meet their obligations under New Zealand consumer laws.
We anticipate offering further services to businesses in the future which will provide a comprehensive riding community platform offering value to both riders and businesses.
